A large part of our job is processing and cleaning up hundreds of millions of points and polygons of 3D data.
Regardless of the type and accuracy of the laser scanning system, almost all scan data requires some level of post-processing, usually consisting of light smoothing and the correction of anomalies (such as spike removal or hole-filling).
All this is included of the 3D scanning service that we provide. However, if you have received noisy scan data from other sources we can always clean this up for you too.
We can also tackle other problematic models that you might be working with – such as the separation of components in CAD data to make them more usable for animation packages.
Data can be exported in numerous formats including: DXF, OBJ, STL, 3DS.
We also offer a surfacing service to produce NURB and Sub-D surface formats with associated displacement maps, so that you don't lose any of the high detail of our scans. |
